Position: Grant Manager

Organisational Background
ECPAT International (ECPAT) is a global network of organisations and individuals working together for the elimination of child sexual exploitation through prostitution, pornography and trafficking. It seeks to encourage the world community to ensure that children everywhere enjoy their fundamental rights free and secure from all forms of commercial sexual exploitation.
The ECPAT network currently has 90 member organisations in 82 countries in Africa, the Americas, Europe, Asia and the Pacific. All of these members are independent organisations or coalitions working to end the sexual exploitation of children (SEC). The ECPAT International Secretariat coordinates the global work of the organisation and is based in Bangkok, Thailand. The Secretariat implements global level programmes, and undertakes advocacy and research to facilitate a range of network initiatives.
Job purpose
The Grants Manager works under the direct supervision of the Deputy Executive Director/ Operations and in close cooperation with Senior Management, Senior Programme Staff (Heads and Coordinators) and the Finance Officer to provide the quality assurance of the development of grant proposals and reports to donors.
Key Responsibilities
The grants manager in coordination with programme and finance staff will perform the following main tasks:
Funding proposal development
Coordinates and quality assures the development process of core/ general funding proposals
Provides technical support to programme staff in the development of project funding proposals and provides technical review of final draft grant application and reports
Assesses conditions and application processes of potential donors and advises management and programme staff on suitability and application guidelines
Maintains and updates proposal tracking sheet, and advises management on necessary actions (if any)
Prepares and assures the quality of briefing materials for potential donor visits
Grant Management
Assures accuracy and integrity of grants database; Creates, maintains and regularly updates grant status tracking sheet and keeps this available for staff and management
Ensures that the grant administration processes and workflows are efficient and effective
Communicates relevant grant info with all appropriate internal users
Assists in establishment and monitoring of sub-grant partner agreements
Monitors and tracks expenditures against budget at grant level on ongoing basis and prepares financial donor reports in collaboration with grant holder and Finance Officer.
Assists in organisational budget preparation, review, reporting and revision with regard to funding allocation
Ensures effective filing and accessibility of grant documentation both in hard copy and electronically
Grant Reporting
Works with Programme, Network Development and Research teams to gather data for reports and ensures that proper records are maintained
Provides guidance to programme staff in relation to donor reporting
Ensures accurate and timely preparation of grant reports to donors for completeness to their respective standards
Coordinates the reporting process of core/ general grants
Assists in preparation of donor and evaluation visits
Profile and Qualifications
Advanced University Degree in Business Administration, Financial Management, Marketing, Social Sciences or related fields.
At least five years of professional working experience in grant management/ resource management at national and international level
Proven track record in grant management and reporting i.e. logics assessment of proposal, logical framework techniques, etc
Experience with proposal writing and institutional donors
Excellent language skills in English both verbal and in writing
Knowledge of other languages particularly French and Spanish desirable
